Scottish Chamber Orchestra
About the Performance
A concert of Festival favourites with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra paired with its Conductor Laureate, Sir Charles Mackerras, and joined by legendary pianist Alfred Brendel.
Two of Mozart's late masterpieces are followed by a brace of Dvořák's richly-textured, romantic, Bohemian gems. No-one interprets the Czech repertoire better than Mackerras - the man responsible for bringing a great deal of it to wide popularity.
